Unique Family Activity Advent Calendar

Our advent calendar is full of unique family activities and has become a huge family favorite. I knew from the time I first became a mama that I wanted to create meaningful family traditions. Especially ones that keep Christmas meaningful and full of intention. I started doing this when Lila was a baby and it’s become something that everyone looks forward to so much! My experience inspired me to share this unique family activity advent calendar your kids and significant other will love!
I order everything I need for my family advent calendar in the middle of November so that it’s ready before December first. Each day will have a card that goes inside the advent calendar (see mine below) with an activity or a gift listed for that day. Activities can be anything from baking cookies for a neighbor, to calling Santa, to drinking hot chocolate for breakfast.
Some of the cards will say, “open today’s numbered gift under the tree”. There will be a gift under the tree with that day’s number on it for them to open. These gifts DO NOT have to be extravagant! Most of these will be things like a new Christmas book for the family to read, or can even be wrapping a favorite board game that you already have. The idea behind this unique family activity advent calendar is that there are opportunities to bond every day of the month!
