Louis Vuitton On My Side Review: The Perfect Everyday Bag
A few weeks prior to me and my husband’s anniversary, my son showed me a bag on the Louis Vuitton app that I fell in love with. My son, being such a sweet kid, hinted about the bag to my husband. Any to my surprise, my husband took me to the Louis Vuitton store for our anniversary. Once I walked in, my eyes instantly gravitated to the wall with the chic, square bags that reminded me of the Birkin silhouette. I immediately pulled a few different color ways of the On My Side bag down and tried them on. I walked to the mirror, snapped a few pics, and then decided to take a tour around the store. After looking at several other bags, and even thinking about it over dinner, I finally went with my first instinct and chose the On My Side as my new everyday bag. Choosing the color and style was not an easy feat either. There were so many styles and colors that made making a final decision a tough one.
I ultimately went with the black On My Side MM bag (comes in PM, too) and couldn’t be happier with my choice. Let me tell you why I chose this bag out of an entire store filled with Louis Vuitton bags.
Why I Chose the On My Side Bag
First and foremost, I consider buying a designer bag a luxury. And when spending that kind of money, I need to be able to get the full use out of my bag. Not only do I want it to be beautiful, but it has to be practical. It needs to be an everyday bag. The On My Side bag perfectly executes a minimalist vibe while also radiating a luxurious feel. It is a staple bag and goes with almost every outfit I put together, whether I’m going to the gym or out on a date night. It’s the perfect show stopper, as well as an everyday bag.
I chose black because, well, in my opinion you can never go wrong with black. Plus the tufted LV logo on the side panels gives it just enough pop. There’s plenty of room to carry all my everyday essentials and it has tons of pockets, both inside and out. The On My Side also comes with a detachable cross-body strap to keep me handsfree for whatever comes my way during my day.

But you do have other options. If you’ve fallen in love with the On My Side like I have, there are always pre-owned bags that are more affordable for an everyday bag. Buying a pre-owned bag is such a great option when the price of a brand new bag can be a great deal. Many of the bags offered on pre-owned websites are gently used, in great condition, and perfect for an everyday bag.
